The USC Conference on Conservation, Computation, & Criminology (C4) will be held in Washington DC on June 29-30, 2015. This meeting will highlight ideas and innovative solutions for breaking the upward spiral of forest, fisheries, and wildlife crime. At the USC Viterbi School of Engineering, with novel and multi-faceted approaches and an interdisciplinary team of experts including technologists, psychologists and economists, the conference will take a unique approach to rooting-out illegal deforesting, fishing, wildlife poaching and trafficking by integrating computation and criminology into proven conservation methods. This bold initiative stands to emerge as the USC Institute for Forest and Wildlife Conservation - a center for research and the development of solutions for protecting endangered wildlife species.
